More About M.K.E.S. Secondary School.

Students have excelled in extra curriculum activities and brought home awards, laurels and commendation. We have a long list of achievement to boast our students have consistently performed well and obtained 100% results in the S.S.C board examination for last 4years. The rank holders have given an excellent acceleration performance. Majority of the students secure distinction and first class and provide enough encouragement to the teachers and management to continue their efforts in their pursuit for quality education. Starting with almost nothing, we have now put up a building of our own, with a laboratory, a library, a computer room equipped with spoken English, a hall, a assembly room and every classroom equipped with audio-visual.
At school campus we have good enough space to allow for students to play, have drills and exercise and thus build up our body. Students participate at various competition like Science exhibition and National Children Science Congress to developing scientific temper and attitude. Projects are undertaken every year and often won the prizes. Beside various workshop and seminars are held throughout the year to bring all round development in the child.
We are proud to be associated with British Council for past 4 years Global School partnership which involved our school to be partner with Willeshborough Junior School Kent, UK. Students show their knowledge on project save water through Email and skype and reciprocal visit took place Headmistress Chhaya Ravani visited U.K and the teacher Maria visited our school. Mrs. Sejal Desai visited UK for project Unbox 21 which helped the students to learn the science concept through digital game. British council gave an opportunity to develop their first generation learner as global citizen.
Our School is also members of My Library. Headmistress and students attendant British council global citizen submit at Bhugneshwar, Orissa. Headmistress attended various work of British Council and done Personality Development course School Enterprise Challenge in which we opt for Event management children made terrarium, painted pots and sold it to raise the funds.

Our school was accredited with the British Council’s International School award in year 2012 and We continue to demonstrate our commitment to international dimension in education by reapplying for the accreditation the year 2015-16.
Work for noble cause. Every year school supports 2 NGO and raise the fund to helped Blind and cancer Patients as a part of social service. We conduct research for healthy lifestyle and Go green campaign to encourage society for healthy food. School have canteen which sale healthy snacks with affordable rate. To promote the sports every year we have annual sports meet in which 60% of students participates for more than 60 events in which students showcase the Lazim display.
Grand step at M.K.E.S English school is coaching the students for football last year. We organized for boys under 12 and under 14 students of 6 difference school participate for boys.
Ever since the foundation of this institution, we have been open to adopt changing winds and has introduced relevant education systems and techniques.

Students are taught numerous values of life and ways to bring originality and creativity through workshop and celebrating various days throughout the year.



Activities

Heroes of the World

An activity on Heroes of the World was conducted for the students of 6 to 10 with the help of their teachers during the month of July to November.
The aim of the competition was to develop the sense of revolutionary changes in Social, Political, Cultural and Economic fields of different countries.
Students participated in map-marking, slogan writing, picture chart and diary making competitions.
We had mono-acting and skit in the form of inter-house completion. By this competition the students became aware of the struggle made by the National Heroes of the World.

Traveller

For this activity various competitions was conducted. We had Essay Writing by students of std VI, where the students wrote essay on 'Types of Tourism'. Students of std V had 'Map Making Competition' where they had marked different tourist spot on map of different countries India, Italy, Malaysia. Calendar Making was an interesting activity done by students of std VII and IX, which had developed their creativity skills. Inter-house Model Making developed a spirit among the students and exhibited their aesthetic sense.
All the students have enjoyed and showed their great interest, efforts and creativity, while doing all the activities. .

Tradezania

The activity was conducted during the months of September to December. The aim of the activity was to study about trading with other countries. By this we came to know about various products imported by our country and exported to other countries.
Students of "Std V" prepared charts related to trade. Students visited Kidzania and after that students of "Std VII and VIII" wrote reports on it, this improved their language skills.
Pot painting competition taught the students various innovative designs. Thus the students got knowledge of imports and exports of our country. They also learnt to make artistic designs on pots.

Our Feathered Friends

An activity on “Our Feathered Friends” was held for the students of the std. V to X during the month October to December.
Students of Std IX visited the Sanjay Gandhi National Park here they have clicked varieties of birds on which students have prepared power point presentation. Standard VI students have learnt bird's anatomy and solved the worksheet which helped them to develop creative thinking. Standard VII students have learnt about male and female birds and they have put up their understanding on show me board. X standard students have showed their language skill through the essay writing competition on Migrating birds. Through the slogan writing competition students were sensitized towards nature(birds) At the same time their drawing and painting skill was developed. Standard V students have learnt about National birds of India, Nepal and Srilanka. Moreover, they acquired knowledge of unique birds of India, Nepal and Srilanka through the simple tarsia templates..
